We are Proud to Announce that Master Iniyan of Erode District Become a Grand Master. Getting GM norm is the greatest in International Chess Tournaments. 15 -years old   INIYAN secured his third and final GM norm in XLI Barbera Del Velles international open chess tournament , held at Barcelona, Spain from July 4-12.  INIYAN successfully finished this tournament by getting 2nd place. INIYAN scored 7/9,with performance rating of 2644 and increased 22 rating points. Without any loss , he defeated 2 GM's, drew with 3 GM's and 1 IM. Among 90 players from 17 countries, INIYAN started as 18th player and completed in 2nd place, he faced players from 8 countries.  With greatest support from his sponsor   OLIRUM ERODU FOUNDATION , his coach Mr. K.
